Medical Director |
Responsibilities: Serves as a member of the executive
management team and is responsible for the clinical operations of the
agency, the supervision of the medical staff, the quality of medical
care delivered and for providing medical expertise to the CEO,
management team, and the Board of Directors. Direct supervision of
all clinical staff. Development and maintenance of a
clinical quality management program for the agency. In conjunction
with Outpatient Services Director, oversees the outpatient clinics
operations. Participates in program development through consultations
with the CEO and management team. Participates in the development
of the strategic plan for EVCHC through consultations with the CEO,
management team and Board of Directors. Works with Health
Promotion Director in the development and implementation of clinical
health education programs. Oversees and promotes cost efficiency
measures within the clinical practice as appropriate. Serves as a
representative of EVCHC to other community health organizations, other
medical personnel, and other public service organizations; assists in
the development of formal and informal relationships that further
patient care. Participates in hazardous waste and infection
control an assignment as required in the health center, which may
include being designated as and emergency responder to a hazardous
substance release or spill. Participates in Bio-terrorism
Preparedness activities within the clinic and other settings as
appropriate. Performs direct patient care at least 50% of the
time.
Requirements:
M.D. Degree.
Current license to practice medicine in California. Experience in
health care administration in a primary care setting; strong
interpersonal and organizational skills may be substituted at the
discretion of the CEO. Must demonstrate through written and/or
oral testing, the knowledge of the principles of growth and development
over the life span. He or she is able to identify and categorize each
patient’s age specific grouping of needs, such as those for infants,
adolescent, adult or geriatric patients. Bilingual in
English/Spanish desired but not required. Computer literacy in
word processing and spreadsheet programs. |

Supervisor |
Responsibilities:
Full-time position at Pomona
site. Seeking energetic, experienced supervisory level individual
for its Acctg/Accts Payable Dept. Together
with the Finance Director and the outside consultant, develop reports to
facilitate the production of monthly financial statements. Together with
the Finance Director and the outside consultant develop and implement
the means to import ADP salary info into MAS 90 thus eliminating the
need for time-consuming manual journal entries. Preparation of general
ledger journal voucher entries including all supporting documentation
and reconciliation for month-end-entries. Preparation of monthly
financial statements. Balance sheet and income statement account
analysis as assigned by the Finance Director. Prepare monthly bank
reconciliations for all bank and loan accounts. Compile
information for the financial aspects of required governmental and
grantee reporting including, but not limited to, UDS, OSHPD, FSR, Taper
Foundation, Homeless and Family Planning. Assist Finance Director
with the preparation of the annual budget. Complete special projects as
assigned by the Finance Director on a timely, informative and thorough
basis.
Requirements/Qualifications: Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Recent MAS 90 skills essential. Three to five years experience
in a not-for-profit environment, preferably primary care. Ability to
work efficiently in an active office, with little supervision; ability
to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; ability to
demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated proficiency in
developing spread sheets and working knowledge of various financial
software packages.
